Car seats are recalled through NHTSA. On nhtsa.gov/recalls, choose car seats and enter the brand and model name. The model number and date of manufacture are on a label on the seat's shell or base.Register what you own
Car seats and durable nursery products such as cribs, high chairs, strollers and play yards come with a registration card, so the maker can reach you if there's a recall. Mail the card or register on the maker's site.
