How partner links work

A partner is a company we link to in a labeled block, because it offers something a guide is about. Today that means one partner: Aeroflow Breastpumps, a medical supply company that checks your insurance and ships breast pumps covered by your plan. It appears on our breast pump through insurance guide.

Right now our Aeroflow Breastpumps link is a plain link, and we aren't paid when you use it. We expect to join Aeroflow Breastpumps's affiliate program, which pays a fee when someone orders through a tracked link. When that starts, this page will say so and the label on the link will stay the same. You won't pay anything extra either way.

How partner placements are labeled

• Every partner block carries a visible Partner label, names the company, and links here.
• Partner links open the partner's site in a new tab and are marked as sponsored links for search engines.
• If we ever add a paid placement of another kind, it will be labeled “Sponsored”.

What partners can't do

• Partners never affect listings. The directory comes from public records, and every listing is ordered the same neutral way. No partner, provider or sponsor can pay to be added, ranked higher or removed.
• Partners don't shape guides. They don't see guides before they're published, and they have no say in what a guide says. A guide that includes a partner block still explains every other way to get the same thing, such as ordering from any in-network supplier your plan lists.
• We don't sell your information. We don't pass anything you type on this site to a partner. If you click a partner link, what you share on their site is covered by their privacy policy, not ours.
