Key takeaways
- Every Graco and Evenflo seat sold in the US meets the same federal standard, FMVSS 213. Fit in your car, correct installation and use on every ride matter more than the brand.
- Evenflo's LiteMax NXT is rated from 3 pounds, a pound lower than Graco's SnugRide Lite LX. Graco's carrier is lighter, at 7.5 pounds to Evenflo's 8.6.
- For rear-facing, the Graco Extend2Fit and Evenflo Revolve360 Extend both go to 50 pounds. The Graco 4Ever DLX and Evenflo Tribute LX stop at 40.
- Lifespan is 10 years on the Extend2Fit, 4Ever DLX and Revolve360 Extend. Graco's SnugRide Lite LX is 7.
- Recalls we found by October 16, 2026: Graco 26C-003 (SnugRide Turn & Slide) and Evenflo's 2025-2026 campaigns on other models. We found none naming the seats compared here, apart from a 2016 Extend2Fit label recall.

Graco and Evenflo are the two most common mainstream car seat brands, and every infant and convertible seat sold in the US has to meet the same federal standard, FMVSS 213 [1]. So "Graco vs Evenflo" is about fit, features and convenience. The AAP says the right seat fits your child and your car, is installed correctly and is used on every ride [2].
This page compares six seats from their makers' own pages: two infant seats, two convertibles and two all-in-one seats. For a wider list, see our infant seat guide and convertible seat guide.

How long each seat lasts
Graco lists 10 years on the Extend2Fit and 4Ever DLX and 7 on the SnugRide Lite LX [3][5][7]. Evenflo's Revolve360 Extend page says up to 10 years of use, and Evenflo says every seat made since January 2025 has a 10-year lifespan [8][9]. Older seats may have shorter dates, so read the label on yours. Our guide to car seat expiration by brand covers each maker.
Recalls we found
We searched NHTSA records for both brands on October 16, 2026. Recalls can be added at any time, so look up your seat's model number and manufacture date in NHTSA's recall search [16].
- Graco: Campaign 26C-003 (April 2026) covers 5,126 SnugRide Turn & Slide rotating infant seats whose carrier can detach from the base [10]. It isn't the SnugRide Lite LX. Campaign 16C-002 (2016) put a corrected recline label on Extend2Fit seats made from November 27, 2015, to January 20, 2016 [11]. We found no recall naming the 4Ever DLX.
- Evenflo: Campaign 25C-010 covers Gold Revolve360 Slim and Revolve360 Slim seats made December 2022 to December 2024, for headrest foam a child could pick off [12]. Campaign 25C-011 covers all4one seats with a recline mechanism that could shift [13]. Campaign 26C-001 covers Titan 65 seats that may lack a tether strap [14]. Evenflo also recalled Revolve180 LiteMax NXT rotating infant seats made before April 1, 2025, and Consumer Reports says the non-rotating LiteMax NXT isn't included [15].
We found no NHTSA recall naming the Tribute LX or the Revolve360 Extend. The Revolve360 Slim in 25C-010 is a different model.
Who each brand fits
- Graco: A parent who wants a standard convertible that rear-faces to 50 pounds, a lighter infant carrier, or a stroller from the same brand.
- Evenflo: A parent with a small newborn, a tight back seat (the 17-inch Tribute LX), or a wish for a seat that rotates.

Questions people ask
Is Graco or Evenflo better?
Neither brand is safer than the other. Every infant and convertible seat sold in the US must meet FMVSS 213. Graco and Evenflo differ in features: Evenflo makes a rotating seat and a seat rated from 3 pounds, and Graco makes a standard convertible that rear-faces to 50 pounds. Choose by your car, your child's size and your budget.
How long is a Graco car seat good for?
Graco's Extend2Fit and 4Ever DLX product pages say 10 years, and its SnugRide Lite LX page says 7 years from manufacture. Graco's other seats run 7 or 10 years depending on the model, so check the label.
How long is an Evenflo car seat good for?
Evenflo says its seats made since January 2025 have a 10-year lifespan, and the Revolve360 Extend page says up to 10 years of use. Older Evenflo seats may have shorter dates, so check the label on yours.
Does Evenflo have recalls?
Yes. NHTSA lists several Evenflo child seat recalls in 2025 and 2026 on other models, including the Gold Revolve360 Slim headrest foam (25C-010), the all4one recline mechanism (25C-011) and the Titan 65 tether strap (26C-001). Evenflo also recalled Revolve180 LiteMax NXT rotating infant seats made before April 1, 2025. We found none naming the LiteMax NXT, Tribute LX or Revolve360 Extend.
Can my child rear-face longer in a Graco or an Evenflo?
The Graco Extend2Fit and the Evenflo Revolve360 Extend both rear-face to 50 pounds, the longest of the six seats here. The AAP says to keep children rear-facing until they reach the highest weight or height their seat allows.
Are Graco and Evenflo seats cheaper than other brands?
We don't list prices because they change. Both brands sell mainstream seats, and the AAP says price doesn't make a seat safer. Check current listings on Amazon, at Target and Walmart, and on the makers' sites.
