Kansas details
Limits are counted in 15-minute units, not visits. SPA KS-24-0006 was approved 6/6/2024, effective 7/1/2024 (doula enrollment opened 6/1/2024). Coverage runs from confirmed conception through 1 year after delivery and includes miscarriage. A licensed Kansas provider (RN, clinical social worker, NP, PA, nurse-midwife or physician) must recommend doula services, by a written note, a standing order from a plan or practice, or the KMAP Doula Services Referral Form signed before services. Labor support cannot be by telehealth; prenatal and postpartum visits can. KanCare MCOs may implement policy on different dates. The bulletin says rates are 'subject to future changes'. Kansas has no state page for members about the doula benefit.
