No Medicaid doula benefit. A 2019 law (SB 416) allowed Medicaid doula reimbursement but was never funded or implemented. 2026 bills HB 1049, SB 198 and SB 155 were introduced; none had passed as of September 2026. Some doulas who are also certified community health workers bill Medicaid as community health workers, according to the National Health Law Program.
