It is an optional managed care In Lieu of Service, not a State Plan or fee-for-service benefit: the LDH contract lets each MCO cover it at its option. AmeriHealth Caritas Louisiana, Aetna Better Health of Louisiana and Humana Healthy Horizons in Louisiana have posted lactation ILOS policies; current documents for Healthy Blue, Louisiana Healthcare Connections and UnitedHealthcare were not found. Lactation support providers enroll with their own NPI under an LDH lactation support provider type.
