Wyoming Medicaid's fee schedule (run date October 1, 2026) lists the lactation code S9443, the non-physician education codes 98960-98962 and the postnatal home visit code 99501 as Not Allowed, and the CMS-1500 Provider Manual (Version 20.0, October 1, 2026) contains no lactation benefit. The Medicaid pregnancy page points members to WIC and to the free Wyoming Hand in Hand public health nurse home visiting program, whose nurses are Certified Lactation Counselors; the page does not describe that program as a Medicaid billable service. KFF's 2021 state self-report listed inpatient and outpatient lactation consultation as covered; current sources show no separately payable benefit, and this does not address lactation help within a hospital stay or routine office visit.
