HUSKY Health funds lactation supports only through a $7 add-on inside the HUSKY Maternity Bundle case rate paid to participating Accountable Providers (program launched January 1, 2025); providers may choose whether to offer them, and no separately billable lactation consultant service or provider type was found in the CT Medical Assistance Program bulletins. KFF's 2021 survey reported Connecticut covered outpatient and home lactation consultation; current DSS documents show only the bundled support. 2025 bills to cover IBCLC services (HB 6934, HB 6102) did not advance past referral to the Human Services Committee.
